We had to take Cameron to the doctor today for a follow up on his jaundice. When we got ready to leave the hospital Dr. Getts said he looked great with the exception of some jaundice. Casey and I had not noticed...he looked perfect to us. He said he thinks he has seen the worst and that it will get better on its own. We are glad for that. My family came and visited yesterday. It was really special for my Nanny and Pop to come. They hate traveling, especially down I-20, and they have not come in years. They were too cute with Cameron. Our first night with Cam was interesting to say the least. He did not like to be put down, and so he wasn't. We took turns holding him while the other person slept. I know we will not be able to do this forever, but for his first night we wanted him to be happy.

Cameron arrives...
After many months of anticipation and excitement Cameron Mitchell Dees made his appearance on April 22, 2008. He weighed 8 pounds and 2 ounces and was 21 inches long. We had a long and scary labor and Cameron was finally born with the help of a c-section. I began developing signs of preeclampsia so we went to the hospital early (about 1 am) Sunday morning, April 20th. My labor was induced Monday morning and after waiting and waiting, we had no progress. Cameron's heartrate began to drop and on Tuesday afternoon we decided it was time to get him out. This was complicated even more by my high blood pressure and my low platelet count, but we did it anyway. We both came out healthy and safe. We know this is due to many prayers. It was an amazing time for all of us. We stayed in the hospital a few more days and then came home and began our wonderful life with a baby!
